always happy to help w/S>F recs., but just FYI, even tho' it is the greatest Dead show of all time, there is no S>F played in the 10/29/77 show.

I would highly recommend two from 1978:

short on transition jam, but long on the Fire (one of the best), and I think possibly the best-ever Scarlet.

You really can't go wrong w/any '77 S>F

My buddy was just telling me today that S>F from RFK in 87' potenitally ranks higher than Barton Hall - do you think he's nuts?

Kind of, The Barton Hall is a crisp one for sure, but somewhat overrated The 87 S>F has some zeal to it cause Jer was at that time on the upswing from his coma.
